🧬 On 7 May 2025, the V educational online seminar dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the discovery of the DNA molecule ‘BIRTH, DEVELOPMENT AND ESTABLISHMENT OF DNA SCIENCE’ was held.
The event started with the opening remarks of the Co-Chair of the seminar, Vice-Rector of the higher education institution for scientific and pedagogical work of the National University of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, Victoria Kuznetsova. It was noted that ‘International DNA Day is a global movement aimed at mobilising, activating and empowering communities, teachers and students to innovate, collaborate and discover the prospects of our common humanity and connection with the natural world. This event is aimed at the development of young people in the educational and scientific space and aims to motivate and involve students in projects aimed at promoting the benefits of obtaining pharmaceutical education in Ukraine.’
📍The opening remarks from the co-chair of the seminar, Head of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics, Microbiology and Biological Chemistry of the National University of Pharmacy, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Vira Mykolaivna Kravchenko were devoted to the organisation and implementation of the International DNA Day at the National University of Pharmacy since 2019 and the dynamic expansion of the categories of participants in the event in the coming years.
Svitlana KALAICHEVA, Co-Chairperson, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, noted that foreign students and foreign graduates who chose Ukrainian for their reports and mastered the chosen topics at a high level deserve respect.
📍 The seminar was attended by 52 people, including 1-5 year students of the National University of Pharmacy.
17 reports on the topic of the event were presented. The speakers demonstrated a high level of preparation and understanding of the selected topics.
