On April 3, 2025, an employee of the department, associate professor Natalia Dubinina conducted an online lesson on the topic “Virology. Viral infectious diseases” for students of Zlatopil Lyceum №6 (Kharkiv region, Pervomaiskyi) within the framework of the MAS Pharmacy Club.
The lecture focused on the diversity of living organisms and the role of viruses in evolution. The mechanisms of interaction of viruses with cells, mechanisms of mutations and modern methods of research and diagnostics are considered. Examples of various viral diseases are given, depending on the location of the pathogen, the consequences and danger to humans. The role of the level of immunity and the importance of specific and non-specific prophylaxis are emphasized.
